  • Product description

Our handy kit helps you undertake the perfect touch up, from start to finish.

1 PaintNuts - Grey Primer Touch Up pot

This precision primer touch-up pot is developed to be applied as the base coat for our colour matched paints. The fine brush helps with precise primer application work including scratches, scuffs, and stone chips,

Our anti-corrosive primer is recommended to help with adhesion for the paint as well as bringing the damage back to that of the level of the original paint work.

2 PaintNuts - Colour Matched Touch Up pot

Our touch up pots are colour matched to your vehicles original paint code.

The touch-up pots come with a fine brush on the inside of the paint - ideal for touch ups including scratches, flakes, and small stone chips.

3 PaintNuts - Clear Lacquer Touch Up pot

PaintNuts professional quality precision clear lacquer touch-up pots provide a high gloss, clear, protective coating.

This is the final stage of the touch up process, and the lacquer will help to give your repair the same finish as the existing paint work and bring out the colour - especially for metallics and pearlescent paints.

  • Directions for use

STEP ONE - PaintNuts - Grey Primer Touch Up Bottle

    • Preparation - The surface must be clean and dry - make sure all wax, polish and dust is removed. If rust is present, we suggest a rust treatment as well.
    • Mixing - Shake bottle thoroughly for at least 1 minute to ensure the primer is mixed correctly.
    • Application - Using the brush apply thin, light coats in smooth strokes; allow the brush to sit inside the scratch or chip ensuring you only apply the primer within the damaged area. Leave the primer to dry for up to 30 minutes before applying any further coats, if no further coat is required, then leave to cure for 1 full hour before applying the PaintNuts Colour Matched Touch Up Pen.

STEP TWO - PaintNuts - Colour Matched Touch Up Bottle

    • Preparation - The surface must be clean and dry - make sure all wax, polish and dust is removed.
    • Mixing & Colour Check - Shake the bottle for 2-3 Minutes to ensure the paint is thoroughly mixed correctly (if your paint is a Metallic Paint, you may notice the paint has separated within the bottle, this paint will need a vigorous shake, then test in a discreet area to check the colour match leaving the paint to dry for 15 minutes – paints will often appear different in colour inside the bottle, when wet or if applied incorrectly.
    • Application - Using the brush apply thin, light coats in smooth strokes;  allow the brush to sit inside the scratch or chip ensuring you only apply the primer within the damaged area. Do Not apply new paint on top of existing paint as this will leave the area of repair looking lighter or darker. Leave the colour matched paint to dry for up to 15 mins before applying any further coats, if no further coat is required, then leave to cure for 1 full hour before applying the PaintNuts Clear Lacquer.

STEP THREE - PaintNuts - Clear Lacquer Touch Up Bottle

If you have provided incomplete or incorrect details for your paint order this can cause delays in the order processing and despatching. Out of area charge:

The couriers we use to deliver your items do charge extra for some postal locations – (out of area) If the shipping charge at checkout has automatically changed this is because the courier has determined this to be "out of area" Due to the nature of the item, some products cannot be sent through the Royal Mail postal network and therefore must go through a specialist courier. The extra costs are beyond our control and we must therefore charge the rate set by the courier to deliver to an "out of area" postcode.

    Please note:

If your delivery address /post code is in the Scottish Highlands & Islands, Isle of Man and Northern Ireland delivery times may be extended. Deliveries can not be made to PO Box addresses.

    Delivery to multiple occupancy premises:

We strongly advise against deliveries to be made to hotels, workplaces or multiple occupancy premises. Any orders made, to be sent to a hotel, workplace or multiple occupancy premises are entirely at the risk of the client.

    Please Note:

We will not accept any liability for orders that fail to arrive to the above or are damaged on receipt.  We will, however, investigate this with the courier and do what we can to help in cases like these.

How To Use The Bottle

Prepare and Clean

Prepare and Clean
1
The surface must be clean and dry - make sure all wax, polish and grease is removed. For best results use PaintNuts Panel Wipe and a Degreasing Cloth.

If you have a deep scratch or chip OR if you can see bare metal or plastic, we recommend using PaintNuts Primer first - if rust is present, we suggest our Rust Convertor as well.
PLEASE NOTE
Cold, damp weather can adversely affect the application, finish, and drying time of paints.

Shake and Test

Shake bottle thoroughly for 2-3 minutes to ensure the paint is thoroughly mixed.

4
Test a small amount of paint within the damaged area to check the colour match – give it 15 minutes to dry as paints can often appear different in colour; inside the bottle, when still wet or if applied incorrectly or onto original undamaged paint work.
