Citroën C4 over the years
A relative newcomer to the car scene, the Citroen C4 has been on our roads since 2004. Featuring a design like no other, the Citroen C4 had a quirky sense of style on the inside too, an example being the perfume dispenser the car came with. Under the bonnet though, it seemed imagination had run dry with standard petrol and turbo-diesel engines available to buyers. However, for paint colours, there was plenty to choose from, with a wide range of colours available, including Icarus Blue, Arctic Steel, Polar White and Babylon Red.
Unveiled in 2008, the second generation of the Citroen C4 retained its rounded exterior styling and also featured a new interior. A broader range of engines was now available, too, including a BMW co-developed petrol and efficient HDi diesel engines. Citroen kept up its taste in paint colours and offered buyers a broad and enticing range, which saw Citroen paint colours like Bourrasque Blue, Wicked Red, and Thorium Grey.
Despite the short time the second generation of the Citroen C4 had been on the roads, it was soon replaced with the third generation in 2010. For this generation, there was a change in the exterior styling, a notable change being the headlights, which had a more angular and aggressive look. In terms of paint colours, Citroen offered some new shades into the mix, such as Kyanos Blue, Ruby Red, Shark Grey, and Pearl White.
In 2024, we are on the fourth generation of the Citroen C4. Unlike previous generations, and due to motorists' changing tastes and increasing environmental awareness, this generation is available as either fully electric or hybrid. What’s more, this generation of the C4 has a more spacious interior and comes equipped with paint colours like Eclipse Blue, Elixir Red, and Okenite White.
