PaintNuts Professional Scratch & Scuff Remover uses the latest technology in polishing compounds, specially developed for permanently removing light scratches, scuffs and sanding marks within the first layer of the topcoat paint or lacquer, the compound will also diminish the look of deeper defects.
Safe to use on all paintwork including metallics and pearlescent paints. The compound is also specially developed to be used in conjunction with PaintNuts colour matched paints as a final finish to assist in blending the repaired paintwork and diminish any defects.
PaintNuts Professional Scratch & Scuff Remover is extremely easy to use, and the results will be visible within 60 seconds.
If your damage is deep enough to catch your fingernail when your run over the bodywork surface, then you will not be able to remove completely with just scratch and scuff paste – you would diminish it and then need to use the touch up pen with colour matched paint.

Directions for use
STEP ONE - PaintNuts Professional Scratch & Scuff Remover
- Clean. Clean the vehicle and remove any dirt particles that can cause further defects.
- Application. Apply a small amount of our PaintNuts compound to an applicator pad, apply even pressure in a straight back and forth motion left to right and then up and down untill the scratch or scuff has been removed or reduced.
- Remove & Buff. Buff the area with our PaintNuts Micro Fibre Polishing Cloth to remove the compound residue.
STEP TWO - PaintNuts Colour Matched Touch Up Bottle
- Mixing & Colour Check - Shake the bottle for at least 3 Minutes to ensure the paint is thoroughly mixed correctly (if your paint is a Metallic Paint, you may notice the paint has separated within the bottle, this paint will need a vigourous shake, then test in a discreet area to check the colour match leaving the paint to dry for 10 minutes – paints will often appear different in colour inside the bottle, when wet or if applied incorrectly.
- Preparation - The surface must be clean and dry - make sure all wax, polish and dust is removed.
- Application - Using the brush, use light coats in smooth strokes; allow the brush to sit inside the scratch or chip and ensure you only apply the paint within the damaged area. Do Not apply new paint on top of existing paint as this will leave the area of repair looking lighter or darker. Leave the colour matched paint to dry for upto 30 mins before applying any further coats, if no further coat is required, then leave to cure for 1 full hour before applying the PaintNuts Clear Lacquer.
STEP THREE - PaintNuts Clear Lacquer Touch Up Bottle
- Mixing - Shake bottle thoroughly for at least 1 minute to ensure the lacquer is mixed correctly.
- Preparation - The surface must be clean and dry - make sure all wax, polish and dust is removed.
- Application - Using the brush, use light coats in smooth strokes; allow the brush to sit inside the scratch or chip and ensure you only apply the paint within the damaged area. Leave the lacquer to dry for upto 30 minutes before applying a second coat if required, if no further coat is required, you must leave the lacquer to cure for 4 hours before you use any buffing or polishing solution/compound.

For the best results on light surface marks or shallow scuffs, we recommend using PaintNuts Scratch & Scuff Remover first to eliminate minor defects before applying any primer or paint. If rust is visible, treat the area with a rust converter before continuing.
- Mixing - Shake the primer bottle thoroughly for at least 1 minute to ensure the contents are fully mixed and ready for use.
- Application - Using the built-in brush, apply thin, even coats with smooth strokes. Carefully guide the brush within the scratch or chip, making sure the primer stays within the damaged area. Allow the primer to dry for up to 30 minutes between coats. If no further coats are needed, let it cure for 1 hour before applying your PaintNuts Colour-Matched Touch-Up Paint.
